Designing a
planting scheme is a complex task, especially for beginners.
"Royal Horticultural Society Book of Planting
Schemes" takes the effort out of planting design by presenting more
than 60 planting formats to suit every garden, from sunny alpine beds to
cottage planting for dry stone walls, to wildlife pools and bogs, to butterfly
borders - the list is endless and excitingly varied. Each scheme is accompanied
by very clear, colour illustrations and the planting list for each plan is
supported by a comprehensive plant directory for each plant. Particularly
helpful is information on alternative plantings for many of the schemes so that
easy adaptations can be made. |
