Jamie
Oliver's back with a vengeance with his most accessible book yet. In
"Jamie's Dinners" he encourages us to eat
more healthily, to really enjoy our time spent cooking and to inspire
confidence in even the most novice cook. Basically, it sees Jamie Oliver going
back to basics in the kitchen to revolutionise family meals. To start with, he
takes a look at how to get the most out of your kitchen without spending too
much money on making it work. In Family Tree he takes recipes
several different ways, giving you confidence whilst at the same time hoping to
get you hooked on learning more. He also reveals the worlds most-loved
food from a global website survey he conducted: the Top Ten dishes that
families love to eat together. With over 100 brand new recipes, this book is
all about making cooking inspiring and accessible. This is the perfect cookbook
for everybody. |

Jamie Oliver
is setting up a new restaurant, which is also a training school for young
chefs. "Jamie's Kitchen" features 100
delicious recipes from his cookery course as well as from the restaurant menu,
including the ultimate in Mediterranean-style fast food - pasta and fresh
sauces, thick wedges of bruschetta with basil and tomatoes, warm vats of stew
for the winter and simple French salads for the summer. The books also examines
oriental cuisine - tempting us with dim sum delights such as steamed pork buns
- and skirts the borders of increasingly popular Spanish and Middle Eastern
flavours with sweet roasted garlic soup and Lebanese lemon chicken
respectively. It also includes sections on basic chef skills such as chopping,
boning and filleting. |

Like Jamie
Oliver's first two books, "Happy Days with the Naked
Chef" (aka. The Naked Chef 3) is filled with fantastic recipes for
different occasions. Whether you want healthy food, portable grub, one-pot
meals, ideas for cooking for two or with kids, or food that is 'cheap as
chips', this book has it all. As well as Jamie's favourite recipes, he looks at
'fridge friends' (lovely snacky things) and 'foody prezzies' - perfect for
Christmas and birthday surprises. Using his 'strip it bare then make it work'
principle Jamie Oliver creates a foolproof repertoire of simple, feisty and
delicious recipes. |

"The Return of the Naked Chef" (aka. The Naked
Chef 2) is a brilliant collection of smart-casual food, that's sophisticated,
simple, sharp and bang up to the moment. This is food designed to be cooked in
the home, but informed by the skills and commercial instincts of a working
chef. It's modern, fresh and not in any way intimidating thanks to Jamie
Oliver's intriguing personality - a unique mix of imaginative professional and
laddish Essex boy, that altogether forms a highly appealing and skilful
package. |

"The Naked Chef" cookbook reveals the
tricks of the trade. Jamie Oliver shows how to make the most of ingredients,
how to make two meals out of one, how best to prepare food, and how to quickly
create delicious meals that make it look as though you have spent the entire
evening in the kitchen! Using ingredients that can be found by almost anyone
who is reasonably interested in food shopping, the book focuses on modern
Italian food that is simple to prepare, but looks and tastes exquisite.

It's hard to
keep up with Jamie Oliver these days, but one look at this video,
"Jamie Oliver - Naked Chef 2", should
remind you just why he's everyone's favourite cheeky chappy. Recipes such as
Thai Seared Carpaccio, Tray Baked Pork Chops with Thyme and Roasted Pears,
Preserved Slow-cooked Baby Bell Chillies Stuffed with Anchovies and Capers, may
sound difficult, but he has a knack for making all of these seem manageable for
even the most reticent cook. Tedious measuring and weighing take a back seat to
tasting and trusting your instincts. It's a cooking style that encourages
pleasure in making tasty food for good friends. |

Unless you've
had your head in a plate of pie and mash for the last few years you'll know
that Jamie Oliver is "The Naked Chef" - and that the "naked" refers to his
style of cooking: fresh, simple, stripped back to basics. In the video
"Jamie Oliver - The Naked Chef" the tone is
set with roast leg of lamb flavoured with garlic, rosemary, and pancetta and
baked fresh fruits (figs, peaches, cherries) with mascarpone and vanilla sugar.
His basic recipe for homemade pasta is undauntingly straightforward. Equally
simple but inspiring are his fish dishes, including baked salmon fillets with
French beans, roasted cherry tomatoes, olives, anchovies and a basil aioli.
It's all ever so slightly and deliciously left of a very classic
centre. |

"Pukka Tukka" is Jamie Oliver's latest
assault on the nation's taste buds and his recipe for putting the "pukka" back
into "tukka", with a blend of common sense and imagination. The "tukka" ranges
from spaghettini with baby tomatoes, garlic and basil to a warm salad of
chargrilled salmon, courgette and asparagus with a thyme and lemon dressing.
After Oliver has trounced the packaged meals for time, price and taste, he
takes off on his silver scooter to help three very different people inject a
little class into their cooking: a student friend, a fireman and a city trader.
If you're a devotee of the hugely successful Naked Chef series (also available
on
VHS Video and
DVD) then "Pukka Tukka" certainly won't disappoint.

"Cookin' (Jamie Oliver's Music)" is jam
packed with the best in alternative rock and dance, complete with fully
annotated sleeve notes from the Naked Chef, explaining his love of each and
every track. There is some storming big-beat buffoonery from Fatboy Slim
("Right Here, Right Now") and a classic slice of trip-hop from Sneaker Pimps
("6 Underground"), but the dance end of Jamie's record collection is far
outweighed by his love of indie - from fellow Essex boys Blur ("Trouble in the
Message Centre") to northern stars Happy Mondays ("Loose Fit") there is more
than a decade's worth of tunes on the menu. There is even a late entry from
up-and-coming rocksters Scarlet Division ("Sundial") featuring a certain chef
on drums. Pukka. |

At the tender
age of 25, Jamie Oliver had become a TV star, written two best-selling books,
and had begun to take America by storm. Stafford Hildred and Tim Ewbank have
approached Jamie's friends, family and colleagues to produce
"Jamie Oliver: the Biography", which aims
to show just what makes him tick. |
