| An amazing book for those wanting a better understanding of building muscle development, from beginners to advance trainers. | | Master of the trade, jack of none: Rating: 5/5 |
This book is brilliant, plrobably the best one you can find if you want to find out about technique and how to practice the art of strength training.
Pros:
it is detailed with clear pictures and instructions;
there are additional notes on how to avoid injuries;
there are several pages on how to stretch if you did not know how;
it includes many exercises using dumbells, barbells and machines;
it is clearly divided into 7 sections (arms, shoulders, chest, back, abs, legs, buttocks).
Cons:
it in no way a dummies guide to strength training;
it does not mention crucial facts such as how many reps to do if you are aiming for strength, hypertrophy or endurance;
it does not detail rest days or workout programmes.
However, it is wonderful with everything else. | |
