Customer Reviews: Average Rating: 4.0/5
Read it and make up your own mind. NO SPOILERS!!!: Rating: 5/5
After reading reviews I almost didn't buy the book. I had read and loved the previous ones and was disappointed that people were slating this one.
But, as I was already so invested in the characters, I decided to read it. I am sooooo glad I did!!! The fact that it was split into 3 parts, (Bella's story then Jacob takes over then back to Bella again) did put me off at first. After setting up a major cliffhanger at the end of Bella's first story, I wanted to skip Jacobs bit and read the next Bella bit, BUT DONT!!! Jacob takes up the story from where Bella stops and you need to see this part from Jacob's point of view. Its very well written and whatever your feelings towards Jacob from the first books, his story is gripping and gives Jacob another dimension rather than just being a love-struck wolf! Despite what many reviews have said, the story is so well written, you find yourself believing whatever is written, never questionning the logic or accuracy behind it, and on reading reviews about how far fetched some parts of the story is, I wondered if I would feel the same about it. But when I got to those parts (trying not to give anything away!!!), I didn't feel the need to question it. The story felt like it was leading to that, and it was the next logical step in the story.
In conclusion, buy the book. Its a wonderful love story which twists and turns all the way through, keeping you guessing and on your toes until the very end.
Disappointing....: Rating: 3/5
*SOME SPOILERS*

After thoroughly enjoying the first 3 books I was so disappointed with this one. For me the biggest problem was with Jacob who at a stroke was suddenly relegated from super-hero and part of an intriguing love triangle to a babysitting pseudo paedophile! The whole concept of imprinting was decidedly awkward and I can't believe that Stephenie Meyer hadn't forseen the consequences of readers thoughts on this very, very silly idea. Leah starts off by becoming more interesting and then promptly disappears - and what a wasted opportunity here to show more of her developing relationship with Jacob - all you hear from her for the majority of the book after the initial interest in showing her off is that she is 'glaring at Bella'. The realms of being far-fetched were in my opinion stretched much too far and whilst the earlier books could almost make you believe there were vampires, albeit the vegetarian notion was a bit hard to swallow (sorry no pun intended) it was within the realms of fictional credibility. This book lost the plot in almost all respects - everything was too, too perfect with Edward and Bella and the child - very, very creepy - notwithstanding Jacob's part in this. I'm hoping that Meyers might redeem herself by a 5th book which could pull us back to the more credible 'reality' of the earlier story - there is certainly bags of potential left to explore.
The continuing saga: Rating: 5/5
Another top notch book, keep them coming. Just a shame I cant see Jacob's hot bod.
The best......So cannot wait for the film...Will be EPIC: Rating: 5/5
WOW...... i do not usually read books but after getting into twilight and seeing all the films i realised it would be well over a year for the next film , so i brought the 700 + page book. read it in 3 days could not put it down. every second spare i was reading through the night everything. A definate must read. the film will be amazing. The way the book is wrote really makes you think you're there with them. UNBELIEVABLY BRILLIANT!
